Model 3049L and Model 3048L

Please Note: The files listed on this page are only for use with the Agere chipset-based Zoom/Modem V.92 EXT, which contains an "L" in the serial number. The serial number is located under the barcode on the bottom label and uses the format xxxx-Zxxxx-xx-xxL-xxx. If the serial number contains a "C" rather an "L" or the case color is black, please go to the Model 3048C/3049C support page.

Program Files

	Zoom/Modem External V.92 Voice Faxmodem (.exe file) These are the files needed to install in XP. When Windows XP finds the modem, do not let it automatically search for the files. Specify the location where you have extracted the above file.
	InstallShield (.exe file) Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000 install Shield for our Lucent chipset V.92 faxmodem model 3049L. This is a self-extracting file containing 9 files. Click "setup.exe" after extraction to run the install shield. This is the same Install Shield that shipped on ZoomLink CD PN# 289-0007-A and -B. It is not an update.

Flash Files

All TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) programs such as screen savers and anti-virus programs including any communications programs that could interfere with the flash process must be temporarily disabled before running this flash file. If the flash process is disrupted in any way, it could cause damage to the modem and necessitate the modem to be sent in for repair.

Flash File Update (.exe file) This file is for the External V.92 Faxmodem and includes an updated flash file as well as the MOH application. It will self extract and create a 3049MOH folder. When prompted to select the file for download, you must select the "zoomfd9e.hex" file. You will need to restart after it finishes loading. The MOH application will automatically install.
